Why do we breakdown infront of the people we love the most?

“Millions of people have decided not to be sensitive. They have grown thick skins around themselves just to avoid being hurt by anybody. But it is at great cost. Nobody can hurt them, but nobody can make them happy either.
– Osho”

The above lines are a little hard to implement in real life isn’t it? We all appear to be strong on the outside but our heart is really fragile and soft on the inside. We have the capability to breakdown and give into our emotions irrespective of how many times our heart has already been broken.
Emotions are pretty complex and are bound to appear in front of the people we love the most. So there is nothing wrong in crying in front of them, instead it would help them understand how, you really are feeling, for whatever happened or whatever they said.

However, when it comes to strangers or friends who have hurt you, I believe its better to walk away or end the topic rather than staying and discussing about the issue, and letting it continue to hurt you. The topic can probably be brought up during a casual chat and you could ask for an explanation in lighthearted way  (i.e. if its really important for you to get it clarified). Maybe this could be, when your feelings for that particular thing has subsided a whole lot and it no longer makes you feel bitter, when you think of it.
