My weight loss journey

Back when I was in college, I had gained a considerable amount of weight. I joined the gym, but I didn’t really see any difference, but it would leave me sore and exhausted. The commute was time consuming and the membership prices felt pretty high.

Mum suggested I’d rather try yoga and promised to present me a phone of my choice if i’d manage to lose weight. Also, I had challenged one of my friends whom I used to accompany to the gym. So my journey began. I performed suryanamaskaras each day and increased the count with time, nearing upto 120 per day. For better results I also fixed my diet.

With lots of patience, determination and hardwork I managed to lose 10 kgs in a span of 10 months. I looked slim and better plus I got the phone as I was promised . It was a win-win. To this day, I have maintained my body in shape, by practicing yoga.

However the friend that I had challenged to lose weight, was the same . Whenever she meets me her eyebrows raise and I feel proud of myself for achieving what I had set my mind to do.
