What are the benefits of writing in a journal or diary?

Yes, it probably is the best way to unwind our self and soothe our emotions.

  • It can be therapeutic at the end of a bad day. Letting our thoughts flow on paper is a great way to feel lighter from the negative thoughts constantly burdening us.
  • It  can also give us the necessary space on any other busy day,where we can just sit back ,relax and pen down the moments of our day.
  • Uploading pictures and keeping a record of all the special moments of our life,can help us cherish those memories forever.
  • Listing out our dreams and ambitions ,that we have for our future,can act as a constant reminder and hence as a pushing force towards achieving them.
  • Writing everyday is a great way to improve our linguistic skills.
  • It helps us appreciate our successes and feel blessed/happy about them, similarly it can also help us understand and realize our flaws/mistakes so that we can get better at them, in the near future.
  • It is the record of our everyday feelings and thoughts,which we can look back at,in future, to see the long way that we have come since then.
